SMS Notifications — Terms & Opt-In

KidTally sends text-message alerts to parents and guardians about their child's pickup and attendance. This page explains what we send, how you consent to receive it, and how to stop.

The messaging program

KidTally is used by childcare and youth programs — martial arts, dance, gymnastics, after-school, tutoring, church, daycare, and camps — to record attendance and verify who collects each child. On behalf of the program a child is enrolled in, KidTally may send a parent or guardian transactional text messages, such as a notification that their child was checked out and who collected them, or a one-time pickup verification code. These are account and safety notifications, not marketing.

How you opt in

When you enroll your child with a program that uses KidTally, you provide your mobile number and agree to receive pickup and attendance text alerts for your child. Consent is collected by the program at enrollment (on its intake or registration form), and program staff enter your contact details into KidTally. You are never added by a third party, and your number is used only to send alerts about your own child — never sold or shared for marketing.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your child's attendance. Messages are event-driven — you generally receive one only when a relevant event occurs (for example, your child is checked out by someone, or you request a pickup code) — typically a few messages per week during active enrollment.

Sample messages

  • "Tiger Kicks Martial Arts: Emma was checked out at 3:42 PM by Grandma Sue (Grandparent). Reply STOP to opt out."
  • "Tiger Kicks Martial Arts: your one-time pickup code for Emma is 418302. It expires in 2 hours. Reply STOP to opt out."

How to opt out or get help

Reply STOPto any message to unsubscribe at any time; you'll receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELPfor help, or email support@kidtally.app. Opting out of texts does not remove your child from the program's roster — contact the program directly for that.

Cost

KidTally does not charge for these messages, but message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Privacy, terms & contact

Your number and message content are handled per our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing. Questions? Email support@kidtally.app.
